Parent Involvement
Parent involvement is critical for student success. Parents play an integral part in their student’s education whether it be in the “brick and mortar” setting or in an online environment. We encourage participation through ongoing contact with teachers and mentors and through the monthly meetings during which the Student Learning Plan is built. We hope parents will strive to build a relationship with the teachers and mentors so that they can support and encourage students and provide input about student effort and levels of understanding.
Parents of grades K – 6 need to help and supervise these younger students as they grow in ability and become comfortable using the computer. One benefit of Productive Learning online education is that we have Technical Support people available to help with those issues that may arise and “school hours” can be planned for times when parents are home.
